ABOUT MISS AQUILA'S FAMILY CHILD CARE

Our facility is to provide a quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 3 weeks to 6 years. We have been operating since 2014. My goal is to respect our stars and to focus on stimulating early care and education experience which promotes each child's social/emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Miss Aquila uses a Reggio Emilia approach using an even mix of academic-based and play-based activities to nurture and develop children in a safe and fun environment. We are open Monday - Friday and Aftercare, and Saturday care is offered. We are a small but mighty home-like environment where children are encouraged to develop at their own pace and feel at home while doing so. Each child will be treated as if they are a part of our family.
As a family childcare provider, my goal is to provide a safe and happy place for children where they can learn and grow physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially. I believe children learn through play and benefit from a structured yet flexible schedule. The development of strong self-esteem is also a major goal. Children will be taught to respect each other, adults, and property. I have many units in Early Childhood Education, Specializing in infant/toddler care. Worked with the L.A.U.S.D Early Childhood Education department as a Teachers Aide for 3 years. Taught children's church at my home church for 5 years. I helped raise my younger siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins. I have one child of my own. I am constantly continuing my education to stay up to date with Child laws and regulations. All childcare is provided by Miss Aquila, assistants are needed some of the time.
